What we’re doing
Corning Promise invests in a range of supports that prepare teens for healthy futures full of promise and opportunity.
- Expanded dual enrollment courses that enable students to receive college credit while in high school;
- Professional development for high school math teachers;
- Specialized English Learner counselors worked to promote English Learners’ success and college and career readiness;
- Professional development to prepare teachers to implement best practices effectively to support English Learner student learning in a blended environment;
- Targeted academic support for students struggling in classes;
- College summer advisement for recent and previously graduated students;
- College and career support for high school seniors and graduates; and
- School-based therapeutic counseling.
